This workshop will introduce the elements involved in dance-acro such as flexibility and contortion, strength, balance, and basic tumbling skills. We will walk through a dynamic warm-up using both principles of dance and gymnastics to build heat, muscular preparedness and proper alignment. We will then go through basic gymnastics skills (cartwheels, handstands, forward/backward rolls, back bends, etc) to establish correct alignment and efficient movement, and then finish with putting those tools into more basic tumbling elements. Be prepared to learn a lot of new things, have your muscles be challenged and have a great time!
